Capturing the Rain

I didn't use the flash in the first three photos. I used a slower shutter speed and I think it makes the water look like cotton candy.

I used the flash in these last photos. I know, I know, Pioneer Woman doesn't use flash in her photography, but doesn't it look so COOL?

Cool Tree

This is a series of pictures of a tree in Mom and Dad's yard. I was outside trying to get pictures of the cute birds, but I couldn't get them to pose for me. Hmph.

So this first picture is untouched by any program (except for the program that uploaded the pictures from my camera to the computer, but you know what I mean).
And these last three pictures I tinkered with in Photoshop. Cool, huh? I like how they turned out. Do you have a favorite?

The Snow Cone Lady

Every year we look forward to summertime, and The Snow Cone Lady is one of the reasons. She has this little stand on the side of a busy street in the middle of town that always has two or three cars in front. She makes the best snow cones I've ever had, which is why we always gain weight in the summer. She's not shy with the syrup. She pours and pours and then pours some more. Sometimes I can't finish my snow cone because it's so sweet. Mmmm...
I always get Tigers Blood and Rob always gets half grape, half blue coconut (except for this evening, when he ordered just plain grape). Sometimes I want to ask her for "the usual" to see if she'd remember our order.
She'll be here until October! Come on over and get a super snow cone!

Sadness

More From the Back Forty

I wish I had forty acres. I wish I had one acre. Sheesh. But, I have weeds. And pretty ones, too.
I think this is where the neighbor's cat disappeared to. Look at those cracks! Makes me thirsty just looking at them.

Daffodils

Here are some of my daffodils. I think they're pretty. It was dang windy when I took the pictures, so in the second picture, the daffodil is almost out of the picture. (Kinda artsy-ish) The flowers are out of focus, too.
I snapped the pics in sports mode so that the lense would continuously focus on the flower, but it kept focusing on the wrong one. Oh well, I'll try again later.
